Gentle Yoga

Gentle classes are taught with a compassionate and healing style of yoga suitable for beginners, seniors and people with health issues. All classes start with a joint freeing series to increase circulation and range of motion in all of the major joints of the body. This alone can often decrease joint pain. Standing poses and gentle flows are then introduced with modifications offered and encouraged. Balancing poses increase strength, build bone density and confidence. All classes end with a guided deep relaxation to absorb and integrate all of the energy you have created.

Gentle Yoga
  • Gentle- Stress Buster, Movement and Breath Work

    This high energy class includes stress reducing breathwork and movement to calm the nervous system

  • Gentle- Shoulder Blades, Hips and Feet

    This gentle class improves posture by working the shoulder blades, stabilizes low back by opening the hips and special attention is given to the feet

  • Gentle-Mantra Meditation, Joint warming, Moon Salute and Balance

    This well-balanced class begins with repeating a word or phrase for a few minutes (Mantra Meditation). Warm-ups include a complete joint warming series head to toe. A gentle Moon Salute flow and balancing postures round out this practice.

  • Gentle- Whole Body Stretch and Strengthen Level 6

    After warming up all the joints, we will stretch and strengthen the whole body one section at a time.
    This class is a level 6 out of 10 challenge according to students!

  • Gentle- Posture, Hip, Hands and Feet

    This class pays particular attention to the thoracic spine for improved posture and balance. Lubricating and increasing circulation in the hands and feet are an added bonus!

  • Gentle- Hands and Feet and Everything in Between

    This head to toes class attends to every joint and body part with particular attention to the hands and feet.

  • All Levels-Floor, HIPS, Core

    In this class the Hips are the star of the show! Starting on the floor, we will. stretch, strengthen and stabilize the hips from every direction. Add in some core work and you have all the ingredients for a strong healthy spine.

  • Gentle-Chest Openers, Sun and Moon Salutations

    Warm-up all your joints with a gentle joint freeing series. Special attention is given to opening the chest for better posture. Sun and Moon Salutations flows round out this well balanced class.

  • Gentle-Shoulder Blades, Chest Opening, Twist, Flow

  • Gentle-Strong Legs
